    Wide band ATM based on multi-service ATM system is the result to fulfil the communicating need for wide band integrated services digital signals in recent years.     The rapid development of fiber transmission technology, digital technology and computer technology results in a revolutionary change of CATV system. The most remarkable change is that the breakthrough of fiber technology in 1310nm and 1550nm has totally changed the traditional full cable CATV network frame and formed HFC structure. HFC not only improves the CATV transmission quality and reliability but also forms a bidirectional basic transmission structure with favorable performance. And the band width could be enlarged to 1000MHz.
